Nick retired from Dermatology in 2007 and took up the traditional Northumbrian craft of Stick Dressing as an outlet for his previous surgical skills. He was persuaded by his fellow stickmakers to take up woodturning in 2011.
He lives on a smallholding near Corbridge in Northumberland and the Bogle Burn flows near his fields. He has a Sporting Lucas terrier called Bogle, who likes to lie in his workshop near the lathes.
BogleCraft just suggested itself as a collective name and in 2016 Nick adopted it as a working label.
